pardon me, this story would not be
in black & white as every good old story.
but it is not a bad story,
as in this story even bleeds

away every thing that is good.
then surnames itself
the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

i say,
you do not understand.
you will not understand
why this story wouldn't love.

to see a ballad of legalized destruction
is even hope. or what nation peters out grief
like bulleted grace.

my Nigerian story ends like a virgin
obeying the clarion's call of master's bed.
