Lux en Tenebris
Haunting voices of unseen ghosts echo within.
A sacrifice on the altar of sorrow,
Consumed by shadows, I’ve lost my way.
Fear’s suffocating embrace has gripped me tight,
As pain tightens its hold on the hollows of my heart.
Death’s scornful smile mocks my existence,
Its lips whispering a haunting dirge for my living.
But now, at midnight’s hour, they gather near,
Darkness converging, stirring the night.
No longer will I run; I will stand my ground,
Fighting with every fiber of my being.
I’ll confront these demons that dwell within,
And rise to conquer the shadows of my soul.
With courage ignited, I’ll face the unknown,
Emerging from the darkness, finally whole.

To fight and conquer, all to God's gloria
ReplyDeleteA very captivating and motivating read. Feels like a precursor to William Ernest Henley's "Invictus."
