Sighs Of A Broken Dream
I am the illusion that masquerades itself as dreams.
A dream turned nightmare.
A nightmare sent from Hell to stay.
Do I cry or perhaps keep mute?
Will it make it better or would it ease this ache?
That which has wrapped its talons around me.
If I scream will I end up dead?
Should I sit or sink into an abyss of hopelessness?
Would it be okay to place my head down, even only for a short while?
So what do I do?
Here I stand,
Alone.
A withering branch lost in the labyrinth of misery and grief.
A cry of hardship ringing across a land of broken dreams.
A chorus of shattered hopes and anger.
Of protests against the tyrant's fist.
A vision so bright now nothing but a bleak future.
It still burns this dream though faintly.
A hope that one day it will rise.
