Resolutions

 

After much pondering, Tayo decides to let her thoughts out, “Shade, in the New Year, you need to up your business game", she tells her roommate.

“Hmm...Yeah. I definitely need to. This year didn't smile on me at all, though the pandemic and lockdown take the bulk of the blame, I am partially to blame."

“I need to draft a new plan and draw out a new marketing strategy."

“I'm glad you realize that, girl. It's been pretty obvious for a while. But, there's a more pressing issue we need to discuss..."

Puzzled, Shade faces Tayo fully, “what might that be?"

“For someone so smart and proficient, you sure lack confidence."

Already knowing the route the conversation was going to take, Shade sighs, “I know right?"

“I also plan to work on that, I just don't know how to start."

Amused, Tolu replies, “have you seen yourself? Babe, you ooze charisma, you're smart, beautiful and the most professional person I know."

“The first step you have to take is to believe in yourself."

“Thanks dear, I'll make conscious efforts to work on that aspect of my life."

“Promise me something"

“What's that?"

“Promise me that you will write down all these resolutions so that you don't forget and stay true to your goals."

“I promise. I'm so blessed to have a friend like you, thank you."
