Aye! Holidays are here again. Are you thinking of being someone's Santa Claus? Are you considering giving your loved ones a gift but you don't know how to choose a gift?
If choosing a gift for someone is something you consider a hard thing, then Read on. I will show you how to choose a gift better than Santa.
1. Gender:- Funny as it may be, you don't want to give your brother a dress, unless you want him to dash it out to a lady. The first thing to consider when choosing a gift is the gender of the recipient. Although some gifts are unisex, you still have to answer this question:
What is the gender of the recipient?
Would he/she appreciate a specific gender gift or a Unisex gift?
2. Interests:- The best way to sweep someone off their foot is doing something related to their area of interest. That one thing they won't stop talking about. For a book lover, Books, ebook reader, reading Lamp, or subscription to a reading application would excite them as much as a headset, a ticket to a concert and subscription to a music streaming app would make a lot of sense to a music lover.
The question here is
What interests this person?
What are the options available?
3. Needs:- Sometimes, giving your loved ones something that solves their immediate problem is a perfect gift for them. Get that surprise effect when you give them a problem-solving gift. Imagine paying for a blogging class for someone who plans on going into blogging after the holidays. Just imagine the surprise when you give them the card or ticket to the class.
Although, you have to be extra careful about this. Don't give someone a gift for a problem he/she doesn't know he has. For instance, Giving packs of mints to a friend with a mouth odor and haven't realized it. If along the line the person figures out, it will hurt them in a way.
The question here is
What does this person need at the moment?
4. Personal taste:- If the gifts you are coming up with are available in a wide range of colors, you'd have to also consider the person's taste and favorite color.
The question here is
What is his/her favorite color?
Does he/she prefer flashy things to cool ones?
4. Budget:- Of course, we can't keep considering the recipient without considering you. Your budget also determines which of the available options you would choose. You don't have to break the bank to be someone's Santa.
The question here is
How much do I have to spend on this?
With all these questions answered, you have a gift idea now. If you are still uncertain whether you want to do this or not, don't forget how challenging this year has been and how your gift can go a long way in making someone believe that someone cares.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you think about this information in the comment section.
