HOW THE USE OF SALES COPIES AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS
Content writing and copywriting are both amazing tools that can be used by Digital entrepreneurs to convert cold customers to buyers. But often, entrepreneurs misuse these tools by not properly understanding when to use each tool.
Let's say that you are an entrepreneur using WhatsApp status and the Instagram page as the only means of reaching out to prospective customers. Your brand offers fashion designing services for people and you want to leverage your contacts to get customers using a copy like this:
“ARE YOU A BOSSLADY? OR A CASH MADAM?
WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO BE, YOU CAN STEP INTO THE SPOTLIGHT IN THESE BREATHTAKING OUTFITS!
BE THE STAR OF THE PARTY, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR BUDGET IS.
ARKORE CLOTHING OFFERS VARIETIES OF STYLES FOR YOUR COMFORT.

Maybe you have been posting something like this on your status every day plus statements like, “come and patronize your girl" and " Don't let me go hungry".
Unpopular opinion:- "Come and patronize your girl" is not a sales copy.
With this strategy, you will only sell to a few people every week. It will get to a time that everyone would get tired of your pleadings for sales and probably mute you or stop viewing your status.
On the other hand, content writing is the use of clear and relevant content that delivers value to your targeted audience.
If you want to use the content writing strategy in the sales process for your business, you may decide to write one content a week. You may choose to write on the topic "Fashion trends to watch out for in 2021" or " Five ways to preserve your Ankara dresses", then at the end of your content, you refer them to your products and use sales copies for your special offers and ads.
This is not to say that copies are not good unless you are writing "come and buy what I am selling" as a sales copy. A sales copy works better as an ad, or a special offer.
While content writing conveys the most cogent message about your brand in your daily and weekly posts. You can use it for all your social media platforms.
Maybe you are already asking yourself how you can come up with content ideas since you are not a writer. Employing the services of a freelance content writer would help in this case.
Food for action. Thank you.
