Diary Session With God

Diary Session With God

It was reassuring having him there

And watching me as I language my grief into his ears.

A smile beamed brightly on his face as I said: I am drowning,

And with a touch- hope, like currents of water brought me afloat

And I quizzed: What happened to my body?

I swear, I have been here before . I have lost this grace over & over again

It won’t be this one. Not this time .

So I reached out to his palm to see if the scar there

Would bear any likeness to my plight and then I saw laughter nestle right on it

The moment felt like a loop in time and like a cistern, I watched

Myself spill out contents in order for me to get cleansed

Then I touched his face and beheld Him wearing a countenance as if to say;

Dear Son, Return to me for this darkness is too much for you to embody

Then I said back to him:  I do not come to you by chance

Make this fragmented body of mine whole again.
