4 steps to achieve your goals.
We are already in the second month of the year and soon enough, the year will be over.
At the beginning of the year, you set goals you want to achieve and probably forgot all about it, because you feel so overwhelmed to start out when you think about it.
It was Mark Twain who said "The secret of getting ahead is getting started"
This means that you cannot get ahead or crush those goals unless you actually start.
Below are 4 things that will get you started on crushing, and achieving those goals.
1. Don't set too many goals: Writing a list of 100 goals when you have never done achieved up to 10 previously, will make you scared or afraid of starting. Do yourself a favor so you don't break down by setting the number of goals you can achieve, or what I like to call 'realizable goals'.
Also, don't set too little because that will not push you to achieve more. Just set in between. Make sure that goal is realizable, so that you won't end up feeling disappointed.
2. Fear shouldn't dominate you: you need to push in spite of that fear in order to get started. You can only remain stuck for too long. It might be that each time you want to get started, you break out in cold sweat. Get started regardless of that fear that keeps telling you to remain in your comfort zone.
Start out small. Breaking those big goals into smaller chunks might actually help to eliminate your fear of starting out.
3 Don't accept negativity from yourself or others: people might want to discourage you, or you can also try to dissuade yourself from reaching for that goal.
They might tell you, or you might tell yourself, that you will fail, that you have no business trying to crush those goals, etc.
Don't listen to those negative words from yourself or those that think they "mean well for you"!
4 Stop trying to impress people: your goals shouldn't be because you want to impress people. For me, that is a very lame reason of taking on a goal or even setting them in the first place. It is known that human beings have need for validation, but set goals because you want to, and for yourself.
I hope these help you in achieving those goals you have already set.
I am cheering you on.
