Long Walk to Our Canaan
She’s my Nigeria, my world,
My novel Canaan,
With accolades and feats,
She stand as the hub of the black world,
Her gigantic trio souls stand firm as one in diversity,
Laced with elegant colours and beauty.
Bedrock of abundance,
Blessed with the richest resources any world would covet,
Vast and lustrous is her root and seeds.
Crystal and jewel buried in skulls.
Cruel aura, shine still.
Until we are ready to discuss our matter,
Let us assume and drool that Nigeria is Africa’s giant.
She is my Nigeria, my nation.
