QUE SERA SERA: The Dance of Awòràwọ̀
QUE SERA SERA: The Dance of Awòràwọ̀
What will be, will be; Que sera sera, the dance of Awòràwọ̀
The supremacy of fate
The stars speak volumes of journeys
Unfolding silently in the night
The path the feet must tread;
A tale of trials and triumphs
Awòràwọ̀, messenger of the future
What does heaven say the land's destiny is?
How it is woven into the fabric of time,
And the blood it will pour forth
Before its people find peace.
Que sera sera, the dance of Awòràwọ̀
Fate stirs with discontent,
The destination is certain
Yet uncertainty gnaws
Why does willpower stretch forth its oars
To change the course
Since he is the captain
Of every uncharted sea?
Awòràwọ̀, dance!
Que sera sera; the dance of Awòràwọ̀
Dance because you are in step
With the rhythm of life's drums
Until man's will strikes the drums
In an attempt to create new sounds
A struggle to change destiny's tune.
Awòràwọ̀, gaze beyond the stars,
Where will's tale defies fate's border,
Where light and darkness blur —
For even will must dance,
Though fate composed the tune.
Que sera sera; the dance of Awòràwọ̀.
