PICKY WITH ILLNESSES
Parents are picky with illnesses
Ever quick to take
Physical over psychological
They pick their poison
Purchase its antidote.
Oh how easy it is to get your attention
A mere cough from your beloved
A slight change in temperature
Leaves you shaking in your boots
Easily you fold
For a mere cry of a cold
Or on your little one
A runny nose
I never do the most.
Whereas I will do everything
For just a minute of your time
I give your child sleepless nights
But you brush it off with irritated sighs
And claim that they are fine.
Tell me what I must do
Before I am acknowledged
Will you finally take me seriously
When I have gone the extra mile?
You make me work harder
Striving for my very best
I bring your offspring greater pains
But you would cut off your tongues before you ever say my name.

What you are... Same way you manifest in the parents, you do to the kids... You've done enough tho, you even gaslight the parents whereas you inflict them likewise...
ReplyDeleteYou are not to blame. What is to blame is the parents' eyes that turn away from what lies hidden beneath the surface, their minds that refuse to acknowledge the issues that medicine cannot fix.
ReplyDeleteYou pick the poison. Purchase the antidote, but to your ignorance, you selected the wrong cure.
