THE NATURE OF MEN

"But such is the nature of man.
They accede to the throne of forgetfulness,"
* * *
Jealousy, envy ....
The fugitives that Homo sapiens harbor
which turned their winsome hearts to
contentious cave with molten lead that
burns & burns every good thoughts away.
Hatred, guilt ....
A reckless mare that humans charter as a ride,
driving them down the road of damnation,
where one never find the way home —
A waste of one's journey in life.
So they became a lost sun.
They set in a spring of murky water,
they hardly see their own light,
they are now men in dire need of identity,
they scuttle with their own minds.
If men could reminisce to that day,
when they indulged in iniquity
& fixed appointment for their destruction,
will they face their fault, free their shame?
& admit they have only themselves to blame.
But such is the nature of man.
They accede to the throne of forgetfulness,
seek forgiveness with more sins,
until they guest the wrath of Karma
& converge face to face with regrets.
