You Made Me Irresponsible!
Welcome 😊
Critically observing our society of today, the youths get a higher degree of condemnation in terms of living irresponsibly, by the adults and elders who are acknowledged as more experienced, wise and responsible enough to control the affairs of the society.
They judge the lifestyle of youths in the way they dress, behave, speak and worship, expressing a deep disapproval when one doesn't live up to how the society has defined the way of living. The defined way of living as observed includes proof of education, dedication to religion, good manners, exaggerated decency in dressing, amongst others. Failure to meet this standards can earn you an irresponsibility tag.
It is mostly assumed that the youths of a society are the sole perpetrators of societal ills. Maybe the real perpetrators of such ills wouldn't have engaged in such if they weren't stigmatized and condemned when they were neglected to strive for prosperity on their own. The irresponsibility and absence of some parents sometimes push their children to the streets for help but the society itself stigmatizes them since they aren't living the societal way of life.
How about some caring parents living in poverty? The society is the only refuge for such children, but the society itself doesn't care about them and, they are easily drawn into social vices on the basis of survival. The irony is that when these folks grow in physique and moral decadence, the society then condemns them again and recognizes them as a waste of life!
We are all in one way or the other victims of stigmatizing people on the streets, including children, as they seem not clean enough to be associated with. Let's show love. No matter how bad they may seem, there's still room for change. So, invest in such people even in the littlest of ways.
Say no to societal stigmatization, discrimination or condemnation, remember HUMANITY.
